The holiday season is a time when families often travel to be together. We are very lucky this year in that Angela’s parents have traveled all the way from UK to NZ to be with us; in fact at the ages of 85 and 86 they have emigrated! It means they can see many more of their grandchildren over Christmas than they ever did in the UK. Here they are pictured with half (8 of 16) of their grandchildren and all (just one) of their great-grandchildren.
Having grandparents here makes the lovely Heathrow Christmas advert even more special.
If you’re travelling this holiday season, remember the risk of DVT associated with travel. We have featured posts on
Santa’s risk of DVTs in his sleigh
We haven’t specifically written about the form of travel in the Christmas advert from Marks and Spencer’s though, which features Mrs Santa in a helicopter!
Even though we’ve lived in New Zealand for nearly 20 years now, we still have a hankering for Christmas in the dark and cold of the UK and these two adverts help with that!
