In Paul’s post about Dos and Don’ts of travel after clots, he recommended exercise during flights. As we traveled on lots of different airlines over the past three weeks, I thought I’d see what advice each of them gave about exercise. I couldn’t find any advice given by three of the airlines we used, Jetstar, Air New Zealand and Easyjet. This is the advice I found from the others:
- Qantas
In their flight magazine Qantas have a range of exercises pictured.
2. Qatar
Qatar didn’t have any exercises in their magazine, but perhaps more usefully, they interrupted their on-screen flight map from time to time with advice to keep stretching. The photo is so blurred because this happened in the middle of the night and only stayed on screen for a few seconds, so I had to have my camera out ready and still found it quite hard to get a shot!
3. Finnair
Like Qantas, Finnair included in-flight exercises with pictures in their flight magazine.
4. Emirates
Emirates had just a mini-mention of exercise in their flight magazine, with advice to ‘keep moving’.
Have you ever noticed or used the exercise advice given by airlines?
